Many people assume an aircond that is not cold must need gas. Sometimes that is true, but in many cases the issue starts with airflow, dirt buildup, drainage, or aging components.
Common reasons your aircond is not cold
- Dirty air filter reducing airflow.
- Indoor coil or blower clogged with dust.
- Outdoor condenser blocked or overheating.
- Low refrigerant due to leakage.
- Faulty capacitor, sensor, or thermostat setting.
- Room size is too large for the installed unit capacity.
Poor airflow is especially common when units are used daily but serviced too infrequently. The system may still run, yet the room never reaches a comfortable temperature.
When to call for inspection
If the issue persists after cleaning the filter and checking the temperature setting, it is best to arrange an inspection. Guesswork can lead to unnecessary spending or incomplete repair.
